NARANG STABLE: OFFICIAL REQUEST FOR DANIEL MOOR
Narang Stable has made an official request to the Mauritius Turf Club for Australian Jockey Daniel Moor.
Daniel Moor is an experienced jockey with more than 500 winners in the saddle in a career which began in his home town of Warrnambool in 1999.
Moor’s journey as an apprentice took him to Flemington with Ray Lawson before he spent some time with Tony Vasil and then Heath Conners. He tasted considerable success during this time, riding 50 winners in three consecutive seasons from 2004/05. Included in that period was his first Group 2 win aboard Astrodame for Brian Mayfield-Smith.
After a couple of lean years, Moor headed to Malaysia for what proved a short stint before he began working for Lee Freedman on his return.
That partnership has paid dividends as he has surpassed the 50 wins-per-season mark in every year since, nearly half of them for the Freedman operation, including Listed winners Armed for Action and Cheyenne Warrior.
If the request of Narang Stable is accepted, Daniel Moor should be able to ride as from the 3rd meeting. The latter has booked rides during this weekend. He'll be riding Fiona Crystal at Bedingo on Saturday and will be on board of Manosa (NZ) at Kyneton on Sunday morning.
